"Lauren P. Barnes
is amazed at the selfish mindset of the american people, one how can you expect a leader who half the country will not put their trust in for the simple fact that he is black to completely turn the economy around in 6months when it took 6-8yrs for us to get ourselves in this mess. Secondly, how could people be so selfish in such matter as health care. This a matter of ethics!" that is my status for today. How the hell is the american people turning their backs on the president because he is worried about the medical welfare of the people he governs over? I know the economy is still on the come up, but how would you feel if you got into a financial bind, maybe you got laid off and lost your medical coverage and then you find out you have a severe, but treatable illness, maybe like the african sleeping sickness that is very costly to treat and the doctors inform you that because you dont have the funds to finance this treatment you are going to die a slow and uncomfortable death. Is it right ethical to not treat someone because of an unfortunate situation? This new healthcare plan will provide preentative measures for these types of situations. How would you like to know that your tax dollars are not only helping feed people who need food but also helping to save lives. As citizens in any country you will have to pay taxes, why not agree for them to go to good use. People are so selfish and worried if the benefits of their taxes are going to people that don't deserve them, but with any government run program there are going to be people who try to get over but that is a small percentage and can be overlooked for the betterment of the country. Besides, if everyone is entitled to healthcare, everyone will deserve to reep the benefits of this reform. So selfish america GET THE FUCK OVER IT!
